Ridgeway | 1994 Range Rover Classic 4.2L V8

Jason’s take on this 1994 Range Rover Classic.

This is the original luxury SUV — the one that invented the whole category. Before the Range Rover became a status symbol, it was a genuine dual-purpose machine: plush enough to valet at the Ritz, capable enough to cross the Serengeti. This ’94 Classic has the 4.2-liter V8, which is the one you want — more displacement than the 3.9, more torque down low, and it moves this big box with a surprising amount of authority. Finished in white with an automatic gearbox, it’s a time capsule from the era when British luxury meant wood, leather, and the ability to drive through a river on the way to the opera. They don’t make them like this anymore, and they never will again.
